Pro Football Legends Classic

THE EVENT  Reidel Anthony, Cornelius Bennett, Ki-Jana Carter, Anthony Muñoz, Bob Griese, OJ McDuffie, Dwight Stephenson, John Randle, Andre Reed, Duane Starks, Mel Blount Derrick Rodgers and Jack Youngblood are just some of the pro football legends who will be in town January 20 – 22 to participate in the Pro Football Legends Classic, benefiting the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center in Fort Lauderdale.

Foursomes are available to participate in the Legends Classic and tickets are available to the receptions. Players and guests will enjoy a casual golf outing at Jacaranda Golf Club on Tuesday, January 21, followed by an evening fundraising reception and dinner aboard the Floridian Princess. Guests will compete in a four-person scramble during the Golf Classic on Wednesday, January 22, at Jacaranda, where the east and west courses are newly restored and four-star rated by Golf Digest. An awards ceremony and closing reception will conclude the three-day event. Spectators are welcome to attend both golf events.

Check in for players is on Monday, January 20, when there will be an invitation only VIP opening reception at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, the host hotel.

THE CAUSE  Part of the proceeds of the Pro Football Legends Classic will be donated to the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, Inc., one of the largest children’s agencies in South Florida. The Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center’s mission is to promote the optimal health and wellbeing of children and youth with special health care needs by providing family centered, comprehensive prevention, intervention and treatment services within a medical home environment. The CDTC also provides medical care, case management, social services and educational support to families and offers other types of intervention to children and adolescents with chronic illnesses and development disabilities.
