Green Day

Pinecrest Gardens continued to support green initiatives with its annual Earth Day Festival on Sunday, April 27. The day was dedicated to celebrating the beauty of our planet, with eco-friendly activities for the entire family. There were wildlife shows and jazz music in the state-of-the-art Banyan Bowl outdoor amphitheater, plant exhibitions, an eco-friendly fashion show, and informative demonstrations on a variety of ecological topics, such as how to start composting at home. There were also free cookies baked in a solar oven, a ladybug release in the Meadow and family-friendly lectures.
