Updates from Hard Rock

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino makes adjustment due to the coronavirus

The iconic Guitar Hotel may not be shining as brightly in the foreseeable future, but that doesn’t mean all is quiet at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood (seminolehardrockhollywood.com). Though the nightly light show at the Guitar Hotel is on hold for the time being, along with all live entertainment, some casino gaming remains open—albeit with added safety precautions due to the coronavirus.

Among the recent updates announced by Seminole Hard Rock:

  • Social distancing: The casino has shut down several slot machines in order to ensure adequate distance between players. In addition, table games will have fewer chairs, again, to provide spacing between players. All Poker Rooms, however, are closed.

  • Dining: Kuro, the Japanese restaurant brilliantly curated by executive chef Alex Becker, remains open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays only. Cipresso, the hotel’s contemporary Italian-American establishment, is open daily with adjusted closing times of 10 p.m. during the week and 11 p.m. on weekends. Beach Club Bar & Grill remains open daily; the kitchen closes at 7 p.m. on weekdays and 9 p.m. on weekends. Fresh Harvest (the resort’s buffet), Abiaka (wood-fire grill fine dining), Constant Grind (quick bites) and Pool Bar & Grill are all closed. Contact the resort about other hotel dining spots.

  • Safety measures: Hotel and casino staff are frequently disinfecting common surfaces, slot machines, tables, elevators, etc. Plus, there are available hand sanitizers in all common areas.

  • Entertainment: All shows are Hard Rock Live, for now, have been postponed until April 15. That includes the musical “Bat Out of Hell,” which was slated to run from April 7 to April 19. In addition, entertainment is suspended at The Comedy Club and DAER Nightclub/Dayclub. Jeremy Piven, best known as Ari Gold on HBO’s Entourage, and Jay Mohr already have rescheduled their cancelled Comedy Club appearances; Piven is slated for May 14-17, while Mohr is booked for Sept. 10-13.
