Mission United unites female veterans
United Way's Mission United starts a virtual happy hour series for female veterans
Starting Monday evening, United Way of Broward County’s Mission United hosts Women Veterans Virtual Happy Hours every month.
The events invite female veterans to bring a drink and settle at home to connect with other female veterans in community and conversation. Leading the virtual happy hours are hosts Kelley Rheault and Stella Tokar. Rheault is a USAF disabled veteran and founder/couch at The Transitioning Warrior as well as an advisory council member and women veteran committee lead at Mission United. Tokar is a retired Navy spouse and founder/CEO of B.O.L.D. Consulting and serves as the public policy liaison of veteran legislative affairs for Mission United.
The series is one of many ways Mission United helps U.S. military service members, veterans and their families acclimate to civilian life by focusing on employment services, legal assistance, financial stability, education, health and housing support.
The first Women Veterans Virtual Happy Hour takes place Aug. 3 at 5:30 p.m. and continues the first Monday of every month through Dec. 7. RSVP to receive the Zoom link by clicking here.
