Dr. Spencer Taintor is leading K-12 education with the innovative and first-of-its-kind development of SeaLab, a structure that is helping students solve sea level rise, forever chemicals, and water quality in our community. A University of Miami Graduate and South Florida Native, Dr. Taintor is passionate about helping our community by empowering students to solve everyday problems. SeaLab is the first man-made tidal pool in K-12 education where students can perform different experiments. With collaboration from NSU Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center and the University of Miami Rosenthal School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, SeaLab is already inspiring the future leaders of our community. With over twenty years of experience leading K-12 schools in addition to experience in Business, Private Equity, and Hospitality, Dr. Taintor has served on numerous community boards and foundations both here in South Florida as well as in Orlando, Washington DC Area and Milwaukee. He holds both an Undergraduate and an MBA from the University of Miami, along with a Ph.D. from Capella University and post-grad programs at Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania. He is an international speaker on education and has written numerous articles for industry associations.
