Annual John and Elizabeth’s Toy Drive and Fundraiser Delivers 4,000 Toys to South Florida Community

The 21st annual John and Elizabeth’s Toy Drive and Fundraiser was able to distribute 4,000 toys to five Broward County Public Schools, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and three local daycare centers. The toy drive is part of the SSL Foundation’s year-round efforts to improve women’s and children’s lives through education, mentorship and community outreach. Since its inception, the fundraiser has donated over 76,000 toys to local children thanks to the Fort Lauderdale Black Police Officer Association, sponsors, community partners, members, donors, guests, and volunteers.

The SSL Foundation will host the inaugural EmpowHer event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 28 at the Dania Improv in celebration of International Women’s Month. For more information, visit SSLwomen.org/events/. To donate, visit SSLwomen.org/donate/.
