United Way of Broward Launches “Adopt-A-Family” Holiday Drive

To help provide needy families with gifts during the holiday season, the United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health and Drug Prevention launched its annual “Adopt-A-Family” Holiday Drive. The program encourages businesses, families and individuals to “adopt” families in need by purchasing gifts for them this holiday season.

Participants can shop for gifts by visiting United Way of Broward County’s online Adopt-A-Family Wish List on Amazon Smile. The donations will be delivered to United Way of Broward County, whose staff will deliver them to families who live at the following locations:

  • New England Mobile Home Park in Hollywood
  • Orange Blossom Mobile Home Park in Davie
  • El Rancho Seven Mobile Home Park in Coconut Creek

The United Way of Broward County will receive a percentage of the sales generated from the online registry, which will be used to support its programs and services. This program is part of United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention’s Latino Initiative, which works with the mobile home community to improve its residents’ health, education and financial prosperity.
