Beautiful Therapy

Reviv founder Domenique Massari is trying to make Delray Beach more beautiful, one face at a time. Through her cosmetic wellness and medical practice, the entrepreneurial certified physician assistant performs innovative procedures for wrinkles, thin lips, osteoarthritis and more—without surgery.
“I love the artistry,” says Massari, 33, who opened Reviv (15340 Jog Road, Suite 202) in 2016 after earning her master’s degree from Pace University-Lenox Hill Hospital’s physician associate program in New York. “I can correct malformations and genetic issues with a filler or procedure that provides significant results.”

In addition to Botox, dermal fillers and microdermabrasion, Massari specializes in platelet-rich plasma therapy. This is where blood is drawn, and the plasma is separated and then re-injected into targeted areas to promote healing and soft-tissue renewal.

PRP first gained attention as a wrinkle fighter after Kim Kardashian went public with her much-hyped “vampire facelift.” Massari is a big believer in the procedure, also known as “micro-needling.” The medical term is collagen induction therapy.

“I use 12 small needles to cause a minor skin injury that leads to the immune system refilling and rebuilding collagen,” she explains. “It lasts from six months to a year, depending on the patient’s skin and lifestyle.”

She learned the procedure while studying orthopedics. “We started using it to help people with knee injuries,” says Massari, certified by the National Commission of Certification for Physician Assistants and licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine. “When I learned how remarkably well this procedure worked with aesthetics, I was hooked.”

When not working, the blue-eyed business owner enjoys traveling, attending food festivals, taking spin classes and hanging out with Charlie, her 16-pound Pomeranian.

And guys: She’s single.

The ABCs of PRP

Massari specializes in platelet-rich plasma injections that renew the body’s soft tissue. Here are three procedures offered at Reviv.

1) Hair loss treatment: The scalp is cleansed and an anesthesia block is given to prevent pain. The PRP is injected into the affected area, and then the hair is washed. Clients may drive themselves home without assistance.

2) Osteoarthritis treatment: Concentrated PRP is injected into and around the point of injury, jumpstarting and significantly strengthening the body’s natural healing signal. (Because a client’s own blood is used, there’s no risk of a transmissible infection and a low risk of allergic reaction.) The procedure is performed in the office and takes about 30 minutes. Most people return to work and usual activities right after the procedure.

3) Collagen induction therapy: The face is washed, a topical anesthesia is applied and the face is washed again. A sterile micro-needling pen is glided over treated areas, leaving small channels in the skin. Finally, PRP is rubbed into the skin. Expect no pain, but there will be redness for a day or two.
