Miami Dolphins and YMCA of South Florida Host Summer Camp Tours in Weston

The event allowed local children to learn from and be inspired by their sports heroes.

Miami Dolphins players Bradley Chubb and Braxton Berrios were part of the Junior Dolphins Summer Camp Tour that brought together over 900 YMCA of South Florida summer campers from Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. The occasion was presented by Gatorade, held at the Y in Weston.

In the company of Junior Dolphins coaches and YMCA camp counselors, Chubb and Berrios actively engaged with the students, guiding them through football fundamentals and playing techniques. The organizers had set up football-centric activities on the four baseball fields, allowing the campers to participate in games and train like true professionals. For many young campers, ages five to 17, this was an exhilarating experience, as it marked their first-ever interaction and connection with professional athletes like Chubb and Berrios.

“We want to thank Bradley, Braxton and the entire Miami Dolphins organization for their support of our campers,” Karla Creque says, Associate Vice President of Summer Camp. “The kids were so excited and engaged in the activities. At the Y camps, they make friends, have fun, get active and discover who they are and what they can achieve. Just like today, they can expect to experience something new every day.”
