Achievement Centers for Children & Families Partners With The Carl Angus DeSantis Foundation

The collaboration will aid the nonprofit’s Support Early Learning Program.

The Achievement Centers for Children & Families (ACCF) in Delray Beach launched a partnership with The Carl Angus DeSantis Foundation, which offers grants by invitation only for supporting civic innovation, faith, health and leadership to help leaders that build tomorrow. The Early Learning Program run by ACCF has been granted support from The Carl Angus DeSantis Foundation. The program caters to challenged families by providing them with critical services, such as affordable childcare and preschool education. ACCF’s Early Learning Program has also received high-ranking accreditation from NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children. With the help of The Carl Angus DeSantis Foundation and other community partners, ACCF can sustain its services and programming with high-quality staff, curriculum, nutrition, and care for under-resourced children and families in Delray Beach and surrounding areas.

After experiencing a long life and legendary career as an entrepreneur in various industries, DeSantis recently passed away. He was known for his generosity and kindness, and his legacy continues through The Carl Angus DeSantis Foundation. The team at the Foundation is committed to ensuring that his spirit lives on through their efforts toward leadership and transformation in Palm Beach and Broward counties, as well as a unique project in South Africa.

“We are thrilled to partner with ACCF on their important mission,” Maritza F. Benitez says, Executive Director at The Carl Angus DeSantis Foundation. “Nurturing the next generation of leaders is critically important. ACCF has a long history of breaking the cycle of poverty in our community by ensuring that our most vulnerable children have quality early childhood education and good nutrition. When you visit ACCF, you can’t help getting swept away by the children’s energy and enthusiasm. It gives you faith in the future. We are also impressed by the passionate commitment of ACCF’s excellent staff. We’re proud to be able to help.”

The Achievement Centers for Children & Families is at 555 NW Fourth St., Delray Beach. For more information, call (561) 276-4561 or visit achievementcentersfl.org.
