BBX Capital Inc. Strengthens Efforts in Community Development With a $150,000 Donation to Habitat for Humanity of Broward

The funds will go towards building townhomes in Coral Springs.

Habitat for Humanity of Broward and BBX Capital Inc. celebrated a significant milestone in their partnership as BBX Capital contributed an additional $150,000 to construct the new Coral Springs Community development. This generous contribution will fund a home for a Habitat family and further accelerate Habitat Broward’s ongoing construction efforts.

The on-site ceremony at Coral Springs Development brought together significant figures from two organizations, showcasing the spirit of collaboration that has fueled their joint mission. The event was attended by Alan Levan, Chairman of BBX Capital; Jarett Levan, President/CEO of BBX Capital; Nancy Robin, CEO of Habitat Broward; Marcia Barry-Smith, Board Member of BBX Capital; Seth Wise, EVP of BBX Capital; Lois Marino, Executive Director of BBX Capital Foundation, along with Habitat Broward staff, supporters and volunteers.

BBX Capital’s additional contribution demonstrates the company’s commitment to addressing the community’s pressing need for affordable housing. The funds will be used to aid the construction of homes directly in the Coral Springs Community Project, which will improve the lives of local families and lead to a more resilient community. BBX Capital has continuously supported Habitat for Humanity and has prioritized affordable housing as a critical pillar of their company. In line with this mission, Jarett Levan, the President & CEO of BBX Capital, and Seth M. Wise, the Executive Vice President and President of BBX Capital Real Estate, who is also the CEO of The Altman Companies owned by BBX Capital Real Estate, founded Altman Living to respond to the growing demand for affordable housing in the community. Altman Living aims to provide accessible and affordable properties to individuals and families across the economic spectrum.

“This remarkable partnership with BBX Capital exemplifies the power of businesses coming together to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our neighbors,” Nancy Robin says, CEO of Habitat Broward. “With this generous contribution, we are one step closer to realizing our vision of a thriving, inclusive community where everyone has a decent and affordable place to call home.”

Habitat Broward is working towards constructing 60 affordable homes in Broward County with a budget of $20 million. As part of this goal, they are expected to complete the Coral Springs 13-townhome community by late 2024.

“BBX and our family of companies are excited to support Habitat once again with this new project in Coral Springs – the new townhouse development,” Jarett Levan says, president and CEO of BBX Capital. “This is our 55th home that our family of companies have donated and handed over keys to homeowners. Every home is special, this is the first in Coral Springs, so it makes it even more special, we are just thrilled to be a part of it.”

BBX Capital, Inc. (OTCQX: BBXIA) (PINK: BBXIB) is a Florida-based diversified holding company whose principal holdings include BBX Capital Real Estate and The Altman Companies, BBX Sweet Holdings, and Renin.
