Cerveceria la Tropical Launches Extended Happy Hour and Lunch Service

Cervecería La Tropical, the 28,000-square-foot state-of-the-art brewery and tap room in Wynwood, recently launched new menu offerings and specials for the spring season. Guests can now enjoy lunch, an extended Happy Hour and weekend brunch. The venue also unveiled its latest brew, Tropi Crystal – a Pilsner-style beer made with the original recipe of Cuba’s popular Cristal Pilsner beer dating back to 1928.

La Tropical is now open for lunch beginning at noon Tuesday through Friday. The new lunch menu features small, medium and large handcrafted tapas, sandwiches, flatbreads and salads. Menu highlights include the Cuban Medianoche Sandwich withBolo ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and yellow mustard aioli in a pressed sweet panini; Frita Cubana with certified Angus beef, chorizo, ground pork, shoestring papas, tomato marmalade, brioche bun; Ceviche of the Day with leche de tigre; Grilled Churrasco served with mango passion fruit chimichurri and crispy yucca fries; Beer Can Bread served out of a beer can with whipped guava butter; and Caribbean Slaw with jicama, seasoning peppers, shredded carrots, red & green cabbage and maracuya mint vinaigrette.

From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, guests may enjoy a new and extended Happy Hour. Specials include $8 crafted beer cocktails made with cerveza and real spirits, $5.50 draft beers and $6.50 Tank-To-Glass beers. Happy Hour bites from Executive Chef Cindy Hutson range from $3 to $13 and include dishes such as the Trifecta Burger made with ground brisket, chuck, short rib and tamarind bbq ketchup on a brioche bun; Jerk Chicken Wings with pink peppercorn ranch; Fish Taco with pico de gallo and cilantro crema; Crispy Yucca Fries; Classic Margarita Flatbread Pizza; Sea Salt Tostones with garlic herb chimichurri; and a Bavarian-style Pretzel served with Nativo Key Suave IPA beer cheese.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the Wynwood venue serves brunch from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The brunch offers bottomless drink options including $35 beermosas, mimosas and beer sangria, and $40 craft beer cocktails. Exclusive brunch-only menu items include Steak N Eggs with certified Angus beef churrasco, two (2) fried eggs, fire-roasted red pepper & mushroom chimichurri and potato hash; Cubano Egg Sandwich with pulled pork, Swiss cheese, roasted tomato concasse and crispy chicharrones on Cuban bread; Guava French Toast with vanilla bean cream cheese drizzle and blood orange maple syrup; Huevos Cerveceros with enchilada sauce, corn tortilla, moros y cristianos, two (2) fried eggs, beer cheese, pico de gallo and cilantro crema; and the Havana Breakfast Burrito made with three (3) scrambled eggs, chorizo hash, black bean roasted corn salsa, Chihuahua cheese, pico de gallo and cilantro crema.
