Chef Angelo Elia Announces Sale of Angelo Elia Pizza Bar Tapas

Angelo has won top awards from Wine Spectator and Italian publisher Gambero Rosso.

Chef Angelo Elia, the renowned restaurateur responsible for the acclaimed Casa D’Angelo, has decided to sell the casual dining brand extension Angelo Elia Pizza Bar Tapas. For over a decade, Angelo Elia Pizza Bar Tapas establishments have provided South Florida with a relaxed yet elegant dining experience for patrons.

Chef Angelo and his lifelong partner Denise Elia still own Casa D’Angelo restaurants. They are dedicated to providing elegant service and maintaining quality. They are thankful for the community’s support and loyal customers and are excited about introducing new concepts, locations and ventures soon.

At Casa D’Angelo, Chef Elia is recognized for offering exclusive wine pairings with white truffles during their harvest in October and November. These sought-after truffles can cost anywhere from $2,500 to $5,000 per pound and Chef Angelo’s restaurants can go through as much as three pounds in a single week. He believes he may be the largest purchaser of white truffles in the U.S., as there are few others dealing in such large quantities.
