Feeding South Florida Collaborates With Florida Panthers and Publix for Second Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon

The event is free to veterans and one guest.

Feeding South Florida, the top hunger relief organization in the tri-county area, has partnered with the Florida Panthers, Edward Jones and Publix to celebrate South Florida veterans this Veterans Day. The Second Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Amerant Bank Arena. All military veterans are invited to an afternoon filled with a gourmet meal prepared by a chef, live entertainment, and special honors. This complimentary event is open to veterans plus one guest.

Feeding South Florida is witnessing an unprecedented surge in its efforts to provide nutritious meals to over 1.2 million individuals in the region. This increase is largely driven by factors such as inflation, disruptions in the supply chain, rising fuel costs and escalating housing expenses. Veterans who dedicate their lives to serving the U.S., unfortunately, face challenges related to food insecurity alongside active military members and their families. According to Feeding America, one in nine working-age veterans experiences food insecurity, and approximately 1.2 million low-income veterans rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) for support.

To RSVP, please visit www.Feedingsouthflorida.org/vets. Space is limited. Veterans must RSVP by Nov. 9.
