Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival Hosts Oscars Watch Party

Space is limited and advance purchase of tickets is required.

The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) is preparing to host an extravagant celebration for the 96th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 10. The Awards Watch Party: A Celebration Under the Stars event promises to be an exciting evening of fashion, music, and fun while honoring cinematic creativity. The festivities will commence at 6:30 p.m. at Savor Cinema, 503 SE 6th St. in Fort Lauderdale. In addition to a live stream of the awards show on the 30-foot screen of the theatre, the courtyard in front of Savor Cinema will be cordoned off. The area will feature jumbo viewing screens, an open bar, lavish hors d’oeuvres, seating arrangements for comfort, and three live bands to provide entertainment.

The event has been made possible partly due to the goodwill of Steven Savor, Robinson’s Jewelers, Jeff Olson, the Harold & Shirley Robinson Foundation, and Kerwell. Tickets cost $100 for FLiFF members and $125 for general admission. Attendees can enjoy complimentary valet parking or free parking in the courthouse garage on SE 5th Avenue, adjacent to the theater. For tickets and details, go to Fliff.com/events/fliffawardsparty/ or call (954) 525-3456.
