Get Your Grill On

One of South Florida’s largest entertainment events, the Walgreens Gridiron Grill-Off Food, Wine and Music Festival returns for a tenth year on Saturday, November 9. The event will be hosted at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater and will feature live music by country singer Brett Young.

Guests can enjoy events throughout the day on November 9th beginning at 12 p.m. Featured events include the Grand Grill-Off, a “competition for a cause” between 22 high-end restaurants and 22 Miami Dolphins resulting in delicious food for attendees to enjoy, Tito’s Tailgate featuring handmade Tito’s cocktails and culinary creations, and BBQ Pitmasters, a Florida BBQ Association-sanctioned competition with 30 professional teams and more than $10,000 in cash prizes. The afternoon will conclude with a live concert by Brett Young produced by Live Nation.

The Walgreens Gridiron Grill-Off Festival was founded in 2010 by former Miami Dolphins Linebacker John Offerdahl and his wife, Lynn. Now in its tenth year, the event has grown to feature 22 teams of South Florida’s chefs and NFL legends. It includes events like the BBQ Pit Masters Competition, a cornhole tournament and live music. The Offerdahls continue to support the local community through this event, donating all net proceeds to the Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Foundation Scholarship Fund at Broward College and to Taste of the NFL’s Kick Hunger Challenge, which will match all donations by the Gridiron Grill-Off to support Feeding South Florida.
