What was the most rewarding experience in your profession?
I am considered a pioneer of laser cataract surgery and recognized by physicians as a preeminent expert in eye laser surgery. Laser cataract surgery provides far better visual results and safety compared to traditional cataract surgery. A laser can now perform 90% of the procedure flawlessly in 30 seconds. This painless procedure takes only five minutes from start to finish, which includes the implantation of an intraocular lens (IOL). There are no shots, no stitches, nor any patches! Patients can resume normal activities the next day, including driving, working, and exercising. The quality of vision is outstanding for driving, working on a computer, and reading, including all the focal lengths in between. I have made Eye Surgeons & Consultants my practice for the past 20 years. This year, the Sun-Sentinel selected Eye Surgeons & Consultants as “South Florida’s Best Eye Surgery” Team for 2026.
There are a lot of health care professionals in South Florida. What separates you and your practice from others in your field?
My surgical volume has increased significantly over time, driven largely by patient referrals and referrals from fellow healthcare professionals. To date, I have performed more than 30,000 cataract surgeries with extremely pleased patients who have stellar visual outcomes. More than 250 physicians and their family members have trusted me to perform cataract surgery on their own eyes, standing as a meaningful professional endorsement of my surgical skills and quality of care.
