Charitable organizations help so many individuals in need, whether they’ve been in need for a life time or find themselves in need for the first time in their lives.  Their needs are diverse.  A retired grocery cashier who lost her savings to an unscrupulous investor and memory to Alzheimer’s; a young man whose life changed in a flash after being caught in the crossfire of a shooting; a young disabled adult woman who lost her computer—her lifeline to the world.

United HomeCare® and S.T.E.P.S. in the Right Direction are a lifeline for older and disabled adults to live life to their fullest working in collaboration to provide a safe environment to make homes wheelchair accessible; meet basic needs many of us take for granted such as new microwave or a refrigerator; provide home care and home delivered meals for those who cannot leave home; prevent early institutionalization so that individuals can remain at home where they want to stay.  We strive to meet their needs, without expecting anything in return other than seeing what we do has truly made a positive difference in their lives, changing the direction of, and more often than not saving lives.

There are many individuals in need across South Florida, many causes you can give to.  It is so overwhelming you wonder if it is safe to give.  To provide a lifeline for those in need, charitable organizations depend on the generosity of donors and supporters.  United HomeCare has earned a 100/100 Give with Confidence rating from Charity Navigator, a guide to intelligent giving and resource for those who want to give with confidence to charity.  You can give to United HomeCare with the confidence of knowing that your gift will truly provide a lifeline for those in need.
