Here’s the Pitch

The Mayor of Fort Lauderdale takes the mound for Brightline and the Marlins.

This summer, fans of the Miami Marlins who don’t have a short drive to LoanDepot Park are arriving at the stadium in style thanks to a discounted special on Brightline.

Just ask Dean Trantalis. The mayor of Fort Lauderdale took advantage of Brightline’s Home Runner train from Broward County—and made it to the ballpark in plenty of time to throw out the first pitch prior to last Sunday’s game, a 3-2 Marlins win in 10 innings over the Colorado Rockies.

More than 2,000 people will take the Home Runner train on weekends when the Marlins are in town. The service includes complimentary shuttle service to HomeDepot Park. The collaboration with Brightline has been so well-received that the Home Runner—which includes $5 tickets for kids and $10 adult fares for weekday games—has been extended through August. Passengers who upgrade to premium can enjoy complimentary drinks and bites on the way to the game.

Visit gobrightline.com/offers for more on the Home Runner special. And check out mlb.com/marlins/schedule for tickets to an upcoming Marlins game.
