I am asked this all the time ~ The interesting answer is (as you probably guessed) it is different for everyone. Some women breeze through menopause without a hot flash or any of the other obvious symptoms. But for many symptoms of low hormones can be bothersome for the rest of their lives. Many women never “get through” or “get over menopause.”

Women going through menopause experience various symptoms. Some of these symptoms include hot flashes, moodiness, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, weight gain, low libido, and vaginal dryness.

Studies have shown that some women experience depression and anger during menopause. I could always tell when my mother hadn’t taken her estrogen – I call her every morning and she usually has a very sunny personality. If she hadn’t taken her estrogen, she would be crying over “stupid stuff”, I would tell her to go take her medicine, I would call back in 30 minutes and she was back to her happy “sunny” self. You may feel a little “snappy” and you may say things that you wouldn’t normally say – this is an unnecessary roller coaster ride.
