Johnny’s Hungry Hoagies Coming to Downtown Fort Lauderdale

It will open its doors in early December 2024.

Local entrepreneur John Wiggins unveiled the upcoming launch of his new hospitality venture, Johnny’s Hungry Hoagies. The first location, 790 East Broward Blvd., Suite 11B, Fort Lauderdale, will open in early December 2024. It will be situated in the plaza of the Laureat apartment building, with a direct view of Broward Blvd.

Wiggins, a lifelong foodie from Fort Lauderdale, sees significant potential for elevating hoagies. He notes that the market is saturated with generic sandwich shops, so he has crafted a distinctive and crave-worthy selection of sandwiches. His creations focus on the finest quality meats and cheeses, complemented by chef-inspired recipes, setting Johnny’s Hungry Hoagies apart from the chain establishments. The highlight of the menu is the Johnny’s Epic Steak Sandwich, featuring a generous ½ pound of hand-sliced USDA prime steak accompanied by grilled onions, mushrooms, and thoughtfully selected seasonings.

Other menu items include:

  • Johnny’s Italian Special Hoagie
  • Johnny’s Roasted Turkey Specialty
  • Johnny’s Cuban Hoagie
  • Deli Cobb Salad
  • Italian Chef Salad
  • Johnny’s Tator Tots & Crinkles
  • Quinoa Salad
  • Macaroni Salad
  • Locally baked Desserts
  • Johnny’s Crafted Coffees
  • Beer/Wine/Seltzers/Ciders

Johnny’s Hungry Hoagies will offer breakfast and late-night dining options. Johnny’s Craft Coffees, crafted from Costa Rican roasted beans, will also feature seasonal flavors. Plans for a second location are in the works for South Florida.
