MADD to Host KickOff Event for Annual Walk Like MADD Fort Lauderdale 5K

MADD Broward County is kicking off the 12th Annual UKG 2023 Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K with a special event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at BBX Capital in Fort Lauderdale, 201 E. Las Olas Blvd., Suite 1900. Guests will enjoy light bites, mocktails and a unique opportunity to win exclusive prizes such as a Jason Taylor autographed football and jewelry from Daoud’s Fine Jewelry. Special guests include Walk Like MADD Fort Lauderdale Founder and Chairperson Heather Geronemus, Florida Highway Patrol Major Robert Chandler and other local dignitaries.

The 12th Annual UKG 2023 Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K will take place on Sunday, Apr. 30, at SE 1st Avenue and Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. More than 3,000 walkers and runners are expected to attend the event. Since it was established in 2011, this event has raised more than $3.5 million for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking.
