Major League Cricket is Coming to Broward July 1

If you haven't already, now's the time to discover one of the world's top two most-watched sports.

Some of the biggest names in global cricket are heading to Broward County Stadium this July as Cognizant Major League Cricket (MLC) returns with a week-long series of professional matches from July 1–6.

Fans in South Florida will have the opportunity to witness elite players from around the world compete live in the United States, bringing international flair, fierce competition, and unforgettable performances to the pitch.

“This summer, Broward becomes a global cricket destination,” said Johnny Grave, CEO of Major League Cricket. “We are welcoming the best T20 players in the world to South Florida, offering an incredible opportunity for fans, families, and future players to see these superstars up close.”

10 Star Players to Watch Live in Lauderhill

Across six MLC teams, this year’s lineup features players who have led national teams, broken T20 records, and inspired millions of fans worldwide:

Faf du Plessis (Texas Super Kings): The former South African captain is known for his calm leadership and consistent top-order batting.  He was the leading run-scorer in Major League Cricket in 2024.

Steven Taylor (Seattle Orcas): A powerful left-handed batter and dynamic fielder, Taylor brings explosive energy to the top of the order with deep South Florida roots.

Rashid Khan (MI New York): One of the most effective bowlers in the world, Khan’s fast leg-spin makes him a constant threat.

Glenn Maxwell (Washington Freedom): A crowd favorite for his inventive batting and athletic fielding.

Andre Russell (Los Angeles Knight Riders): Known for game-changing sixes and rapid-fire bowling.

Heinrich Klaasen (Seattle Orcas): Aggressive and precise, Klaasen anchors the middle order and brings consistent strength.

Shimron Hetmyer (San Francisco Unicorns): Stylish and bold, Hetmyer is known for thrilling strokes and quick scoring.

Noor Ahmad (Texas Super Kings): At just 20 years old, the Afghan spinner is already a rising global force and was one of the leading wicket-takers in the IPL.

David Warner (Washington Freedom): A veteran opener who brings explosive starts and fierce competitiveness.

Nicholas Pooran (MI New York): The IPL’s biggest hitter, with a league-leading 40 sixes this season, returns to MLC this year and will want to reclaim his batting crown.
