Mareva 1939 Tempts Diners With Delectable Spanish Dishes in Miami Beach

The Spanish-stylish restaurant is located at The National Hotel.

Once you step into the National Hotel in Miami Beach, you will find yourself surrounded by luxury and an air of sophistication that is as unique as it is impressive. So, it is no surprise that with such a glamorous environment diners would have a top-notch experience at its restaurant, Mareva 1939. It is the perfect place for date night and for a special occasion, even if that special occasion is strictly a Monday night. Because why not simply make every day a special occasion? I highly recommend it, and it’s always good to find the time to treat yourself.

Mareva 1939 The National Hotel

Currently, the restaurant is offering one of the best Miami Spice menus that we’ve encountered. We had the chance to try out dishes from the menu such as the Sobrasada Toast, featuring buttered brioche, delicious goat cheese and a dash of honey & togarashi chili that makes it a starter with flavors that tickle your taste buds. We highly recommend giving this appetizer a chance. You won’t regret it and truly enjoy its balanced and rich flavor.

As for the main dishes, the menu includes elegant selections such as the Pan Seared Miso Swordfish, which features a delicious potato cream and toppings that include fresh tomatoes, capers & olives, plus a dash of sofrito gives this fish dish a flavorful kick.

While there, I chose to try the Arroz al Horno, a paella-style dish with braised leg of lamb, morcilla, potatoes & chickpeas scattered about. The dish is not only hearty, but it certainly is a filling one due to its generous size. We recommend even sharing it with your plus one, as it is the type of dish that is meant to be shared, even when you feel like it should all be yours. And don’t leave this one behind if you do not finish it at the restaurant! Take it home for sure. It’s the best type of takeout!

As for dessert, my ultimate favorite that I tried was the Crema Catalana, a perfectly sweet and refreshing concoction of chocolate and coffee flavors. It had me feeling like it was the perfect end to an amazing meal.

Lastly, don’t forget to pair your dining experience with some amazing cocktails and wines. The menu includes red and white wine options by the glass for $14 and Melon or Sandia cocktail at $15 a glass. These two cocktails include Contraluz Mezcal, fresh watermelon, fresh lime and agave. And they can make it spicy for you if you wish to try it out with a little flavorful kick.

We recommend not leaving without adding a little something special to share with your Miami Spice menu. We decided to try some tapas that are worth talking about, such as their perfectly selected cheese and meats board, featuring the best of the best Spanish meats and cheeses, as well as their Patatas Bravas, Croquetas and their Chorizo.

Mareva 1939 proves that it’s not only a Miami Spice winner but also proves that it’s worth a visit after September 30th, when the Miami Spice menu leaves. It’s a place that will surprise you as much as offer you exotic flavors and an engaging night out.
