The Florida Panthers are one win away from securing their first Stanley Cup Championship in franchise history and other local franchises are showing support for the team’s historic run. Miami Marlins players were seen sporting Panthers gear during pre-game activities to cheer on the team’s first-ever Stanley Cup quest.
Along with their playoff hunt, the Panthers’ visibility in the community continues to grow with the recent opening of the Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale. The facility spans 44,000 square feet and includes two regulation-sized indoor ice rinks, featuring a dedicated public rink that offers a wide range of youth and adult hockey programs, public skating and figure skating for community members of all ages.
The Panthers also made the Stanley Cup Finals last season, which coincided with the Miami Heat playing in the NBA Finals. Players on both teams were often seen sporting each other’s gear in solidarity.
