National Oyster Day: Burlock Coast and The Taurus

A trip to the coast: Fort Lauderdale’s Burlock Coast invites diners to celebrate by the beach by offering a complimentary glass of house wine with a purchase of a dozen oysters on Aug. 5.

Special menu: The Taurus in Coconut Grove opens a special Lazy Oyster pop-up featuring specialty food items and drinks from 3-9 p.m. The menu, available 3-9 p.m. Aug. 5, includes a Maine lobster roll (brioche, Meyer lemon aioli, dill), crab poutine (French fries, gravy, cheese curds). Diners can also celebrate with $6 oyster shooters (house bloody mix and vodka/cucumber mignonette and gin), $5 frozen cocktails (Pina Bro-lada and Guava Palomita) and more.
