Palm Beach County Food Bank Hosts Annual Empty Bowls in the Gardens Fundraiser

The annual national grassroots event serves as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the community.

The 2nd Annual Empty Bowls in the Gardens event will help benefit the Palm Beach County Food Bank’s mission of distributing meals to nearly 200,000 hungry residents in Palm Beach County monthly. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Downtown Palm Beach Gardens,11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Ave., the public is invited to “eat simply, so others can simply eat.” Local restaurants will donate signature soups and freshly baked bread by Old School Bakery, all served by local community leaders.

The cost is $35 for each ticket and $60 for each VIP ticket – tickets and sponsorships can be purchased at: Pbcfoodbank.org/ebgardens. Event chairs are Eileen Acello and Nancy Bolton, and all money raised will support the Palm Beach County Food Bank in its mission toward hunger relief.
