Is your child a tech enthusiast? Look into registering for Game Tech Institute’s robotics camp from June 22 through July 17. Build robots for competitions and learn about engineering, programming, field activities and much more.
If your young one is interested in leapers and creatures, guide them to explore science and art at VSAFL and Pinecrest Gardens’ all-inclusive hands-on art and science class on July 11, 18 and 25 and Aug. 1 at 10 a.m.
Nature Links for Life Long Learning is a continuing education program for young adults with middle-range intellectual disabilities. The program works with several groups and institutions including the Urban Explorers, Pinecrest Gardens and museums. The program trains participants to become fully engaged in learning and building skills such as how to independently navigate the use of public transportation, plant management and habitat restoration, basic money-management skills, culinary arts and healthy habits. There are two sessions available for registration: June 1 through July 10 and July 13 through Aug. 23.
On Wednesday, July 8, join Pinecrest Gardens horticulturist Craig Morell for a diverse horticulture workshop on bromeliads, one of the most versatile plant groups in the area.
