Have you ever made a recipe that just inspired your whole being…was it the dish or was it just you? I seek life like I seek out food…I live every day, I feed myself every day, the best I can! Do you?

The recipe that you choose to make for dinner parallels the recipe you choose for your life. You decide in your heart and in your mind’s eye how you dream your life to be. In that same way, you decide what you want for dinner. You know what you are hungry for, and you can taste it. You plan; you find the recipe. You set your intentions, ideas, and considerations. You make a list. You structure your building blocks whether you are in the kitchen, in the boardroom, or in a satiated family life.

You begin your mis en place, chopping, slicing, and dicing. You make a vision board. You gather intelligence. You gather your ingredients, pots, pans, and utensils. One step at a time, one meal at a time, one day at a time. You start your project. You turn on the flame, you jack up the heat. You turn down the heat. Didn’t see that coming.

Aggressively adding too much salt? I forgot I can always add more in, but I can’t take it out! Lesson learned, again. Oops, you start over. The next time we do it better, we learn from our mistakes. But what we really learn is there are no mistakes! No mistakes in life’s recipes or in tonight’s dinner. Heartbreaks, disappointments, spills, successes, challenges, over-cooked and under-seasoned?

In the book, “Keys to Authenticity” I co-authored with Jack Canfield I wrote, “Seek out and don’t give up until you find what pleases you.” A mistake is just another opportunity to learn, to share, and to lead with love. When your souffle falls, don’t let your spirits! For more information, contact: lenore@lenorenolanryan. com / 954.491.2340
