Three upcoming events are raising funds for literary programs, college scholarships, and hunger-relief in South Florida

April 1: The Broward Public Library Foundation hosts its annual Literary Feast at Bahia Mar; over the years, the event has raised some $4 million for Broward County Library programs and services. (bplfoundation.org)

April 1: The Club at Weston Hills provides the backdrop for the 35th annual Rotary Golf Classic, benefiting the Rotary Club of Weston scholarship fund. Fort Lauderdale-based law firm Freeland Harwin Valori Ryan serves as the title sponsor for the 15th consecutive year. April 2: Feeding South Florida hosts its 11th annual Outrun Hunger 5K fundraiser (pictured) at Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. The region’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization has been on the front lines of food insecurity amid the COVID-19 pandemic; currently, there are more than 700,000 people struggling to find their next meal in South Florida.
