The Seagate in Delray Beach is undergoing extensive property-wide renovations, focusing on refreshing the Seagate Beach Club. The oceanfront clubhouse, spanning two stories and 3,500 square feet with a seating capacity of 250, will undergo significant upgrades. The clubhouse temporarily closed last month and is expected to reopen in October. Throughout the renovation period, members and hotel guests will still have access to the beachside pool, Shoreline Grille, the outdoor bar, and full-service beach amenities.
“The Seagate Beach Club has a storied history in Delray Beach, creating memories for locals and visitors alike, and we are so excited to unveil the new clubhouse in the fall,” Alex Schnoeller says, Managing Director of The Seagate. “Members and hotel guests are thrilled with our Golf Course and Golf Club renovations, and they will be equally pleased with the new Beach Club.”
The Seagate Club’s renovation will feature architectural and interior design updates spearheaded by New York’s Dash Design. Embracing the building’s Colonial style, the interiors will incorporate classic design elements to create a light and artistic atmosphere, as per Dash Design. The main entrance will showcase a stylish soft blue theme, providing an inviting entrance for guests to enjoy magnificent ocean views.
The ground floor, which encompasses 1,650 square feet of indoor dining space and a 1,907-square-foot terrace, will feature a renovated dining area, cocktail bar, and staircase adorned with rich cream, blue, and tan tones. The elevated bar area will offer optimal panoramic views of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean.
On the second floor, 1,714 square feet of indoor dining space and an 860-square-foot terrace will be there. This area will serve as a dining and bar lounge, decorated with calming sage and olive-green color schemes in its architecture and furnishings. The seating layout is designed to provide a relaxing setting for enjoying cocktails and small bites.
Having catered to Delray Beach members and hotel guests since the 1950s, the Seagate Beach Club saw a new two-story clubhouse constructed to replace the original structure after damage from Hurricane Wilma in 2005. The clubhouse has recently completed a significant renovation, including the Seagate Golf Club and its Joe Lee-designed 18-hole championship golf course and practice facilities, overseen by the world-renowned architect J. Drew Rogers.
Seagate also recently revamped its 41,064-square-foot Golf Clubhouse, which now offers a dining room with indoor and outdoor seating for lunch, brunch, and dinner. Additionally, it includes a grand ballroom, dining room, grille room, and courtyard. The renovation involved architectural enhancements in the lobby, meeting rooms, event spaces, locker rooms, corridors, and outdoor patio.
