Sky-High Cinema

Love is literally in the air this month in Miami thanks to an adults-only experience that’s all the date-night rage. The South Beach chapter of Rooftop Cinema Club—on the sixth floor of the building at 1212 Lincoln Road—has rolled out an August slate of love stories that span the Hollywood spectrum.

Among the highlights: Dirty Dancing (Aug. 18); Love & Basketball (Aug. 25, 7 p.m.); High Fidelity (Aug. 25, 10:15 p.m.); Crazy, Stupid, Love with Spanish subtitles (Aug. 28, 10 p.m.)—and a sing-along version of Grease (Aug. 28, 7 p.m.).

In honor of the zodiac sign, film fans also can catch the tail end of Leo season, including a screening of the Leonardo DiCaprio movie The Great Gatsby (Aug. 20). Visit rooftopcinemaclub.com/Miami for the complete rundown of August movies.
