Where to Celebrate Cinco De Mayo in South Florida

Fans of fish tacos, tres leches, spicy margaritas, gigantic burritos and other Mexican-themed dishes have no shortage of options on Cinco De Mayo. To celebrate the holiday, which commemorates the anniversary of Mexico’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, we’ve gathered some local establishments offering specials to honor the occasion.

Miami

Venue: Dogfish Head Miami

On tap, Dogfish Head Miami offers a fan-favorite SeaQuench Ale, a sour session mash-up of a crisp Kölsch, a salty Gose and a tart Berliner Weiss brewed in sequence with black limes, sour lime juice and sea salt. Deals: Casa Sensei offers traditional Latin American cuisine with Pan-Asian staples. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, Casa Sensei has crafted a new, refreshing Watermelon Margarita special, made with fresh watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice and simple honey syrup, served with a slice of watermelon on top ($14). The waterfront restaurant will also be offering a special Cinco de Mayo roll ($19) made with salmon, avocado, jalapeños, scallions and topped with tempura flakes, pickled onion, avocado and wasabi mayo. Guests can also enjoy Lobster Guacamole with seared lobster tail skewers, house-made Casa guacamole and malanga chips.
