211 Broward Fundraiser

Over the past several months, residents throughout the county have been challenged in a variety of unexpected and even unfathomable ways by the pandemic. The hardships have forced many to reach out for help related to everything from food insecurity to severe depression.

Few nonprofit organizations understand that reality more than 211 Broward, the 24-7 helpline that has seen a dramatic increase in calls since the start of COVID-19. In an effort to support its vital services, 211 Broward is launching a fundraising initiative through July 17—a “Stay at Home Summer Bash” that invites donations starting at $50. The goal is to raise $80,000.

211 Broward’s 24-hour comprehensive helpline connects people in crisis to the community support and resources they need. Services offered by dialing 2-1-1 include crisis intervention, suicide hotline, emotional support, and health and human services contacts.

Visit 211-broward.org for details about the fundraiser (found on the right-hand side of the home page). Donors that post a #211SummerBash selfie on social media by July 17 at 7 p.m. will be eligible to win a prize.
