No matter how old I got, I was always excited to go shopping for school supplies at the beginning of each school year. Even though I’m no longer in school, here are my A+ picks for “back-to-school” beauty supplies!

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette: Consider this your fresh box of crayons for the school year, containing all of the hottest colors to achieve any degree of smoky eye you want. The Naked palette contains 12 neutral, but dramatic, eye shadows, a dual-end brush, as well as a step-by-step guide. $54, Sephora and urbandecay.com

NARS Pencil Sharpener: This sharpener is at the top of its class with a dual blade designed for every size lip or eye pencil. It also features a blade cleaner and a cover on top to collect your shavings. $6, Sephora, department stores and narscosmetics.com

Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter: Since we’re still in summer and definitely still feeling the heat, keep that glow going by applying this luminizing powder on your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose or under your lash line. I even use it as an eye shadow. $24, Amazon.com and birchbox.com

MAC Oval 6 Brush: To get the best results from your makeup, you need the best supplies (aka brushes). This is one of my new favorites because of how easily it blends your foundation, powder or blush. It’s also great to use when contouring. $42, department stores and maccosmetics.com

Dermarie Lumitox Anti-aging Facial Serum: Prep for those early mornings with this new serum that works like Botox to reverse and prevent facial lines and wrinkles. For the month of August, Dermarie is offering 30 percent off to all of my readers with promo code LEAH30. $68, dermarie.com

The MakeUp Eraser: This is the ultimate eraser for your face. This wonder cloth removes all of your makeup – even waterproof – with just warm water. If only it could also erase dark circles! $20, Sephora and Amazon.com
