As much we look forward to the holiday season and cooler weather in south Florida, all of the planning and parties can leave us feeling a little tired; but we don’t have to show it.
Droopiness, hollowing and crepey skin around the eyes are all contributors to a tired look that can be improved with just a few easy in-office treatments.
For example, if your eyes look heavy or if you find it difficult to apply eye makeup because your eyelids are hooded, a simple brow lift using neurotoxin can correct this. We can lift the muscle surrounding the eye resulting in a subtle and refreshed appearance.
Additoinally, if you notice dark circles and hollowing below your eyes in the tear trough area, this can be treated as well. By using hyalauronic acid fillers, such as Volbella, we can fill the hollowness giving a smooth appearance to the eyes, while simultaneously getting rid of any darkness or shadowing the hollowness caused.
The thin, delicate skin around the eyes is another concern for many people that may make us look older or tired. The eyelid skin is the thinnest skin on the face and requires special attention. By using radio frequency lasers we’re able to slowly heat up the dermis, stimulating new collagen and elastin production in the skin, which in turn minimizes the depth and appearance of wrinkles. This is also an excellent treatment for needle-phobes and works within 15 minutes.
A big tip I tell my patients is to maintain your treatments with medical grade skin care at home. That will ensure you continue to look good between appointments and ward off further aging. Also, keep in mind, you don’t need to wait until your eyes are looking tired to take care of them. In fact, if you know your prone to any of the aforementioned problem areas or are starting to see changes, the sooner you treat them, the better.
