What do we do with the junk that we remove from your home / office?

The short answer is “It depends”.  Since we are all responsible for the health of the Earth, we do our best to keep whatever is donatable or usable out of the landfills.  Whatever is donatable, such as lightly used furniture, clothing or electronics, is donated to a local nonprofit, such as Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, Florida Gardens Thrift Shop and Pet Project for Pets.  All metal items are taken to a metal scrap yard so that they can be recycled and reused.  All non metallic, burnable items are taken to a high tech, Waste to Energy facility which is capable of producing 66 MW of electricity, enough to power 39,000 homes as well as its own operations.

Whatever is not recyclable, donatable, or convertible to energy is taken to a landfill or transfer station to be disposed of in the most environmentally responsible way possible.

How do we price and what is included in the price?

All of our jobs are based on the amount of volume your items take up in our truck.  The only exception to this rule is for “bed load” pricing, which includes, but is not limited to soil, sand, bricks, tile, or any other item which is extremely dense and heavy.  A full bed load is the entire bed of the truck filled 1 foot high.  All of the labor, loading and disposal are included in our price.  It is that simple.  The price we quote is the price you pay.  There are no hidden charges.  Everything is discussed prior to us beginning work.

What items do we take?

We take just about everything, with the exceptions of hazardous materials, liquids, paint and manure.

What are the HUNKS and what year of College are we in?

You may not realize it but you may be HUNK.  HUNKS is actually an acronym that stands for Honest, Uniformed, Nice, Knowledgeable, Service provider.  Many of our HUNKS attend local colleges such as FAU, FIU, Nova Southeastern and Broward College.  Some are taking time off or have recently graduated.
