It’Sugar and Macy’s Ready to Open

  • It'SugarIt’Sugar: The candy emporium founded by South Florida resident Jeff Rubin (pictured left) in 2006 is planning to reopen all of its South Florida stores over the next two weekends. On Saturday (May 23), stores at Aventura Mall, on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, in Pembroke Pines and at Bayside open their doors. Next Saturday (May 30), stores at Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Sawgrass Mills, Promenade at Coconut Creek, Delray Marketplace, and the Shops at Sunset Place in South Miami will reopen. As part of its safety measures, customers will be asked to wear masks, all employees will wear masks, social distancing will be enforced, high-touch areas will be sanitized regularly, and hand sanitizer and disposable gloves will be available to customers.
  • Macy’s: The iconic retail brand opened its doors today (May 22) for in-store shopping at locations throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Store openings include the Macy’s at: Aventura Mall, The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, Broward Mall, Dadeland Mall, The Falls in Miami, Pembroke Lakes Mall and Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs. Enhanced safety and wellness measures, per CDC protocol, will be enacted, including social distancing, enhanced cleaning in heavy traffic areas, sanitation stations, and masks for employees.
