Access to the one-shot COVID-19 vaccine from Johnson & Johnson will be more readily available thanks to a partnership with the Salvation Army of Broward County and the Florida Division of Emergency Management.
The collaboration will allow the Salvation Army to distribute vaccines from its medical mobile unit to Florida residents over the age of 18. About 200 vaccines will be available for distribution daily and will be administered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The mobile medical unit will be distributing the vaccines from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 19, 20 and 26 at the Broward County Community Center; May 21 at the Salvation Army Broward County Adult Rehabilitation Center; and May 25 at the Salvation Army Broward County Area Command.
