Alzheimer’s Association to Host Annual Walk

With more than 6 million suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s event remains an essential fundraiser in the battle against the progressive and fatal disease. The Walk, which is open to participants of all ages and abilities, is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide and has become the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

There is no fee to register for Walk, participants are encouraged to raise critical funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support and advance research toward methods of prevention, treatment, and ultimately, a cure.

The 2022 Broward County Walk to End Alzheimer’s begins at 8 a.m. with the Ceremony and Walk at 9 a.m. on Dec. 10 at Nova Southeastern University, 3100 Ray Ferrero Jr. Blvd. The local Broward event aims to raise $425,000 for the nonprofit organization.
