Baptist Health opens new center in Plantation

The region’s largest not-for-profit health system—which includes 11 hospitals and more than 50 outpatient facilities—has a new presence in Broward.

Baptist Health held a virtual ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new wellness and medical complex in Plantation. The 112,000-square-foot facility offers urgent care, primary care, endocrinology, cardiology, cancer care, orthopedics, spine care and more.

Nancy Batista-Rodriguez, CEO for Baptist Outpatient Services, joined Baptist Health COO and executive vice president Bo Boulenger along with community leaders during the virtual event held on Zoom.

“As grows Broward County, so grows Baptist Health,” Boulenger said. “We’re honored to be part of growing a healthier community here, and to be able to provide Broward residents with the same, high-quality, compassionate healthcare people have come to expect from Baptist Health.”

At the center, 0rthopedic and physical therapy services will be the first to open to patients on Nov. 30, followed by urgent care, diagnostic imaging, primary care and endocrinology on Dec. 1. All services will be open to care for patients by mid-January. In addition to free flu shots and other services, the new medical complex will be a “health hub” for the central Broward community, offering a variety of health and lifestyle programs for people of all ages.

“We’ll always be here for you when you’re sick or injured, of course,” Boulenger says, “but we also want to be a trusted resource for those who want to incorporate physical and emotional wellness into their daily lives.”

The new center is located at 1228 South Pine Island Road. Learn more about the new facility here, or visit BaptistHealth.net/Plantation.
