Celebrity Chef From Food Network to Deliver Speech at Boca West Children’s Foundation Luncheon

Chef Alex Guarnaschelli will headline the fundraiser.

Food Network star Chef Alex Guarnaschelli will headline the annual luncheon benefiting the Boca West Children’s Foundation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 17 at Boca West Country Club at 20583 Boca West Dr. in Boca Raton. Chef Guarnaschelli is known for opening Michelin-starred restaurants and winning top honors in culinary competitions such as The Next Iron Chef and Guy Fieri’s Superstar Grocery Games. Additionally, she has served as a judge on famous shows like Chopped and Iron Chef.

Michelle Gluckow is the event chairperson. Tickets are $195, and sponsorships include a meet-and-greet with Guarnaschelli and a copy of her newest cookbook. Guarnaschelli first appeared on the Food Network in 2006 and has appeared in hundreds of programming episodes, including as co-host of The Kitchen, Supermarket Stakeout host, and Alex vs. America star. 

As a competitor, she beat nine rival chefs to win The Next Iron Chef: Redemption. She also hosts the award-winning digital series Fix Me a Plate and is the author of the cookbooks Old-School Comfort Food: The Way I Learned to Cook (2013), The Home Cook: Recipes to Know by Heart (2017), Cook with Me: 150 Recipes for the Home Cook (2020) and Cook It Up: Bold Moves for Family Foods (2023).

Guarnaschelli’s culinary odyssey commenced at La Varenne Culinary School in Burgundy, France, setting the stage for her global exploration of flavors. She honed her craft in the kitchens of Paris and New York under the tutelage of culinary luminaries such as Guy Savoy and Daniel Boulud. Elevated to the role of executive chef at Butter in New York City, Guarnaschelli curated a distinctive menu blending eclectic American cuisine with the freshness of green market produce. Through captivating keynotes and dynamic live demonstrations, she shares insights gleaned from a life rich in culinary education, worldly adventures, and the joys of motherhood, all interwoven with her experiences in esteemed kitchens worldwide.

Guarnaschelli frequently graces the screens of national television programs like Today and Good Morning America, while her culinary expertise has garnered attention in esteemed publications such as The Wall Street JournalThe New York Times, and Food & Wine. Guarnaschelli also showcases her comedic talents in her one-woman live show, Busting My Chops, premiering to acclaim at Caroline’s on Broadway.
