Cook for a Cause at Delray’s New Community Classroom Kitchen

Delray’s new nonprofit Community Classroom Kitchen (CCK), which launched in January as a collaborative learning lab for culinary arts, will host a wide range of cooking classes, chef’s table dinners and kids’ baking workshops this summer and fall. Whether you aspire to conquer challenging dishes, such as Duck Breast with Port Cherry Sauce or Beef Bourguignon, learn to make homemade cheese from scratch, engage in a class led by a celebrated local chef, or “play-dough” with your children, the CCK offers a fun array of cooking and dining experiences.

The events will be hosted in CCK’s state-of-the-art commercial teaching kitchen and event space at The Hub (101 NW 1st Ave.) in downtown Delray Beach. Proceeds from the events help fund the Community Classroom Project, a nonprofit organization which aims to “reduce school stress through creativity” by offering innovative educational experiences that “bridge the gap between students, educators, parents and the community.”
