Coral Springs Museum of Art Celebrates America 250

The Coral Springs Museum of Art celebrates America’s 250th birthday with a special art exhibition.

Across this Land: America at 250 is a contemporary art exhibition celebrating the American land and its enduring presence across time.

A Tribute to The Land We Call Home

Featuring works by artists working in a range of media, the exhibition highlights landscapes, environments, and places that shape everyday experience—from open horizons and waterways to urban spaces and quiet, familiar ground.

Through close observation, material exploration, and sensory engagement, the artworks on view offer moments of reflection, wonder, and shared recognition. Presented in commemoration of the nation’s 250th anniversary, Across this Land affirms the land as a source of inspiration, continuity, and collective pride—an enduring foundation that brings people together across generations.

Featured Artist

Award-winning American realist painter Lisa Botto Lee is one of the artists chosen to showcase her art at the museum. Her original oil painting, Strength & Honor — a majestic American Bald Eagle perched in a dense forest, the original flag gripped in its talons — was completed as a tribute to the eagle before it was officially declared the national bird on December 25, 2024. In 2024 and 2025, Lee’s painting Beyond the Window traveled to the Moon twice — aboard NASA’s Odysseus mission and Firefly Blue Ghost Mission 1, both via SpaceX Falcon 9.

An Invitation to the Opening Reception

The museum is hosting an opening reception for this special exhibition on Friday, June 5, from 6 to 9 p.m., with the public invited to attend. The exhibition is on view at the museum from June 5 to August 1, 2026. The Coral Springs Museum of Art is located at 2855 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs. Admission is free.
