Daniel’s, a Florida Steakhouse is set to open on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in Fort Lauderdale. This much-anticipated restaurant will showcase the finest offerings of Florida’s natural resources, providing an elegant dining experience in a warm neighborhood atmosphere. Located at 620 S. Federal Hwy., Daniel’s aims to capture the essence of Floridian cuisine, delivering a contemporary steakhouse experience that highlights locally sourced ingredients and a thoughtfully curated beverage selection.

The Gioia Hospitality Group is home to some of South Florida’s most esteemed culinary experts. Daniel Ganem, the hospitality group’s culinary director, has carefully curated a menu showcasing seasonal ingredients from Florida’s farms and waters. Visitors can look forward to delicacies such as Skipper Sweet oysters from the Florida Panhandle, hog snapper from the Florida Keys, Prime steaks and American Wagyu from North Florida ranches, and a variety of locally sourced fruits and vegetables.
“We’re striving to make as much of our menu as Florida-sourced as possible,” says Ganem. “Our goal is to highlight the unique ingredients found right here in the Sunshine State, bringing seasonality and freshness to every dish.”
At Daniel’s, guests are treated to a delightful array of salads and starters to kick off their dining experience. Notable appetizers include the Swank Farms Kale & Hearts of Palm Salad, featuring the best local produce, and the Florida Burrata, sourced from the state’s top creameries. Indulge in the luxurious Wagyu & Pearls, a refined dish of ArrowHead beef wagyu tartare topped with Kaluga Caviar. Savor the Serenoa Bay Skipper Sweet Oysters served with a refreshing passion fruit mignonette for a taste of the coast.
Main courses at Daniel’s offer a variety of hearty options, such as the Joyce Farms Half Roasted Chicken, which is enhanced with black winter truffles and preserved lemon butter, and the Braised Suwannee River Wagyu Beef Short Rib, served with potato fondu and Gratitude Farms mushrooms. The premium “Steaks and Chops” section features expertly prepared cuts like the Arrowhead Ranch Florida Wagyu Eye of Rib and the 16oz Grass Fed Florida Providence Cattle NY Strip, grilled to perfection and complemented by house-made sauces. To finish the meal, diners can indulge in the iconic homemade Key Lime Pie or the irresistible chocolate chip cookie skillet.
Daniel Bishop, an acclaimed Wine and Beverage Director renowned for his vast expertise and thoughtfully selected offerings leads the premium bar program. Bishop emphasizes locally crafted spirits and beers, featuring selections from Gulfstream Distillery. The menu includes signature cocktails categorized as Martinis, Shaken, Stirred, Reserve, and Non-Alcoholic, with each drink meticulously crafted to elevate the dining experience.
“The focus on Florida extends to our beverage program,” says Bishop. “From locally brewed beers to handcrafted cocktails that celebrate our roots, we want guests to feel that connection to the state’s rich offerings with every sip.”
Fiola Miami’s renowned wine dinner series, led by Angelo, Bishop, and Ganem, will be brought to Daniel’s. With over 85 curated dinners to their name, the team will continue this tradition with monthly wine events. One of the upcoming events is the Macallan Dinner on October 24, 2024, featuring Florida Wagyu Beef and Macallan’s exceptional Scotch whiskey. Additionally, they will offer the Florida Tasting Menu, a six-course experience exclusively available at the restaurant’s six-seat chef’s counter. This unique menu will highlight local Wagyu, seafood, and farm-fresh produce shortly after the restaurant’s opening.
The restaurant will be open Tuesday through Saturday. The full menu is available until 11 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Happy Hour, featuring a selection of expertly crafted cocktails and bar bites, will be available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
