With the summer heat still lingering on and the desire to maintain or perhaps lose weight, cold refreshing desserts like ice cream are often in full battle with your willpower!

Well everyone… the fight is OVER! This is one of my absolute favorites!

Try this AMAZING SUPER YUMMY and SUPER HEALTHY alternative to regular ice cream!

PEANUT BUTTER BANANA ICE CREAM with CHOCOLATE CHUNKS!  (yes, I just said chocolate chunks!)

Here is the how and why!

The WHY… This amazing concoction is much lower in fat and has no added sugars unlike regular ice cream!

Bananas are loaded with potassium, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Magnesium, Copper and Manganese!

Ingredients

3 Large super ripe bananas, sliced and frozen in small pieces (freeze for 2-3 hours) • 3 tablespoons of PB2 powder (Can leave out the peanut flavor completely too) • ¼ Teaspoon of vanilla extract • Cinnamon to taste • ½ cup of almond milk • Lily’s semi-sweet chocolate chips

The HOW… Blend the bananas until smooth and creamy and only add almond milk to get the mixture moving! This will take a few minutes. Add the PB2, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sea salt and blend altogether!

When everything is blended, you can add the Lily’s chocolate chunks and serve immediately!

You can get creative and completely make it your own by adding things like granola, oatmeal, or mixed berries! You can even change the flavor! Try adding cocoa powder and mint extract for mint chocolate chip ice cream, or add coffee beans for an amazing mocha treat!

The possibilities are endless!

Finding alternatives to your favorite dessert foods and still be completely satiated, all while being super crazy healthy….now that is the best!

With love, Linzi Martinez
