John Knox Village residents and staff spent the past 12 months celebrating our 50th Golden Jubilee Anniversary, with a host of fun, physical, inspirational and thought-provoking activities both on and off campus.

Humbly founded in September 1967, JKV has grown and thrived during these last five decades.

Some 800 employees now proudly serve nearly 1,000 residents. Such a family environment has been created that over 10 percent of our workforce have been employed for more than 25 years! One employee was recently honored as our longest-tenured staffer with 45 years under her belt.

Along the way, JKV has become a leading economic engine for Broward County, in general and Pompano Beach, in particular.

Part of JKV’s success through the years has been its offering of a resort-like lifestyle, along with unprecedented life care—such as assisted living and skilled nursing care. Accolades for that care have overflowed with the sustained success of The Woodlands at JKV. We are the only community offering THE GREEN HOUSE® Project model of care in Florida.

Short-term rehab care clients from the greater community receive quality care for which JKV has been honored: With both the Governor’s Gold Seal Award and a 5-Star Nursing Home Rating from Medicare.Gov.

Additionally, the JKV Landscaping Team has created some of Pompano Beach’s most pristine, lushly landscaped grounds. More than one Village guest has suggested the botanical quality of the property should be certified as such.

Our apartment and villa homes are being renovated and upgraded—all with inspiration from area award-winning interior designers. Plus, millions of dollars more in improvements and enhancements are in the works.

You’ll be pleasantly pleased by what we are doing at JKV. Join us for a Lunch & Learn, our Parade of Homes, a Prime Life Expo presentation or some other upcoming event.

Come see why John Knox Village is Where Possibility Plays!
