José Andrés Group’s Aguasal and Bar Centro are Now Open in Andaz Miami Beach

The concepts precede the return of The Bazaar by José Andrés, which is slated to open on the property in the future.

José Andrés Group expands its Florida footprint with the arrival of three concepts at the new Andaz Miami Beach, which marks the brand’s debut in Florida and the first new Andaz hotel since the formation of the Hyatt Lifestyle Group. José Andrés Group unveils Aguasal, an original concept celebrating coastal Mediterranean fare and re-introduces Bar Centro, a day-to-night café-to-cocktail destination. The culinary collaboration with Andaz Miami Beach also marks the Miami return of The Bazaar by José Andrés, a celebrated concept born of José’s Spanish roots, which is slated to open at the property in the future,

“I have always loved Miami – the vibrant city and people,” says José Andrés. “Aguasal on Miami Beach is inspired by the sea and brings with it the flavors of both the Mediterranean coast and Florida’s abundant produce. And I hope Miami is ready to welcome back Bar Centro—day or night, it is a destination to come together over great food and drinks.”

“Andaz Miami Beach’s spirit of imaginative luxury aligns beautifully with José Andrés Group’s restaurants, where our guests can make memories while sharing an incredible meal. We are excited to work together to offer a new and distinct experience to travelers and locals,” says Sam Bakshandehpour, global CEO, José Andrés Group.

Located on the ground floor of Andaz Miami Beach with indoor and terrace dining, Aguasal is an original concept and derived from agua salada, the Spanish term for saltwater. The all-day restaurant transports guests from Miami to Mallorca to Mykonos— where Mediterranean flavors and techniques mix with local Florida influences under the legendary creativity of José Andrés Group.

With ocean views from the upper lobby level, Bar Centro is a breezy indoor-outdoor cocktail lounge. The space offers lounge and club chair seating, curved wooden walls, and a striking sculptural bar with a concave stone backbar.

Cocktails are central to the Bar Centro experience—from a Key Lime Pie Daquiri to Reverse Carajillo. Snacks include croquetas from José’s mother, a clever take on the classic Caesar salad, and decadent four-cheese grilled cheese. The menu also features fresh juices, Spanish pastries and sandwiches, including the famous xuxos of Girona and pressed bikini sandwiches, a nod to Spanish and South Florida fare.

In the future, The Bazaar by José Andrés will open its doors at Andaz Miami Beach, blending the artistry of the Michelin-starred chef with the expertise of his team at José Andrés Group. Drawing inspiration from José’s Spanish heritage, both traditional and avant-garde, The Bazaar immerses guests in a bold atmosphere where anything is possible. Each location is one-of-a-kind, adding an ever-evolving layer of intrigue to the world of The Bazaar. Miami guests will recognize some beloved signature dishes, alongside new creations making their debut in the city.

Aguasal will be open daily for breakfast from 7-11 a.m., and for dinner Monday through Friday from 6-10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 6-11 p.m. Bar Centro is currently open Sunday through Thursday from 4-10 p.m., and Friday through Saturday from 4-11 p.m. with extended hours of operation to come.
