KYU Wynwood takes seating outside

In response to Florida’s recent spike in COVID-19 cases, Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez announced an emergency order that restricted county restaurants to takeout, delivery and outdoor dining.

Thankfully, KYU Wynwood is the first eatery in Miami to implement expanded outdoor seating (pictured above). The new seating arrangement is a result of a new program by City of Miami and Wynwood Business Improvement District (BID). As part of the program, BID has worked with with the City of Miami and Miami Parking Authority for restaurants to be able to use on-street parking spaces and observe COVID-19 requirements. BID has also paid for the cost of barricades needed to separate the on-street parking spots for new outdoor dining areas.

Other Wynwood restaurants that have set up outdoor seating include Zak the Baker and Butcher Shop. BID is also helping the more than 80 Wynwood restaurants by expanding restaurant pick-up locations and working with Miami Parking Authority to offer one-hour of free, on-street parking per day.

KYU Wynwood is open for lunch and dinner. Click here for more.
