The United Way of Broward County recently hosted the annual Mayors’ Gala at the SeminoleHard Rock Hotel & Casino. This impactful event brought together more than 900 local community leaders and philanthropists, all of whom played a significant role in supporting the organization’s crucial programs. Themed “Illuminating Possibilities,” the Gala underscored the United Way’s work in building a better Broward County for all residents, from newborns to seniors and everyone in between. The distinguished guests included Broward County MayorSenator Nan Rich, several of Broward’s 31 mayors and city officials, and United Way of Broward County’s President/CEO, Kathleen Cannon. The event was co-chaired by Cathy Donnelly of The Castle Group and John Wensveen, Ph.D., chief innovation officer of Nova Southeastern University & executive director of the Allan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation.
